Raleigh is my home now, though I have lived in a variety of places around the country. After spending my childhood in New Jersey and Florida's Space Coast, I attended Queens University of Charlotte for my undergraduate years. While seeking a major metro area for a change, I moved to Maryland to attend the American School for Professional Psychology/Argosy University at Washington D.C. for my graduate program. Apparently wanting more snow, I moved to Albany, NY to finish my pre- and post-doctoral training. After two years, I decided I'd had one too many snows in April (it was only one!) and looked for somewhere more temperate.
After landing in North Carolina's Triangle, I worked with undergrads and graduate students of very diverse backgrounds and identities at ECU and NC State providing goal-focused, short term therapy. When our therapy was coming to a close, many people, feeling better due to brief interventions, were just getting into the deep work of self-exploration and wanting more. I could only continue therapy with a small number of clients at a time and decided it was time for a change. I have nearly 14 years of experience with brief treatment if that is what you are seeking; and if you are interested in treatment that is a bit lengthier, doing deeper work, I would love to work with you in that way. I have been working with folks clinically since 2006 and would love to be the experienced clinician you choose.
Outside of my work as a psychologist, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and working on my cooking skills.
